Mariah Carey cancels Australia and New Zealand tour

Mariah Carey has cancelled her upcoming tour dates in Australia and New Zealand.

The Hero singer was due to continue her world tour Down Under in October for several dates that she previously had rescheduled from postponed dates in February.

But now, in an statement released on Thursday, Mariah has scrapped the dates.

The Grammy Award winner has promised her fans that she will return.

It is with much regret that I am unable to visit Australia & New Zealand later this year, however I promise to find new dates soon, she said.

Ive been working away on new music and I cannot wait to share it with you later this year.

The cancellation of the dates are due to scheduling conflict, according to the event management company MJR Presents.

We are disappointed that Mariahs shows are canceled but look forward to hearing her new material soon, they said.

Full refunds will be given to all ticket holders from their original point of purchase and we apologize for the inconvenience to fans and ticket holders.

Mariahs dates in Asia will remain as they are scheduled.
