Have no fear Buble fans, Michael is here to stay.

The Just Havent Met You Yet singer has had a tough few years, after his son Noah, was diagnosed with cancer.

In an interview over the weekend, the singer said that he is planning to bow out at the very top following the release of his latest album, Love.

However, his publicist insists that he is not slowing down anytime soon although the idea of backing away from his career did go through his mind especially as his son, now five, battled cancer.

I assure you with a new album coming out, TV appearances, and a possible tour, he is not retiring.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, the 43-year-old revealed it was the youngsters illness that changed him as a person, and convinced him to take a step back from the limelight.

My whole beings changed. My perception of life, he explained. I dont know if I can even get through this conversation without crying.

And Ive never lost control of my emotions in public.

He also revealed the devastating impact Noahs cancer battle had on himself and wife Luisana Lopilato – who are also parents to Elias and Vida – and why he decided now is the best time to retire.

You just want to die. I dont even know how I was breathing, he continued to the publication.

Now Im just singing the music I love. Maybe when you let go, maybe thats when it comes back to you. Like [his new album] Love.

Im retiring from the business. Ive made the perfect record and now I can leave at the very top.

One of his last performances in the UK came at a soaking British Summertime show, in Hyde Park, earlier this year, where he thanked the crowd for being so supportive.

In an emotional moment, he told the crowd: This is exactly what I hoped for. You know what you guys, two years. Two years since Ive been on stage.

Like any human being of course I worried…I worried that whatever I had at one point I might not have anymore. I worried that maybe my voice wouldnt hold out, his said as his voice cracked.

But Im better than I was before! I dont know if its raining, or if Frank Sinatras in heaven crying right now.

Michael announced Noahs cancer in November, 2016, and shared the happy news the following February that he had been progressing well with chemotherapy treatment.

And, following his son going into remission, the Feeling Good star will be appearing in a special version of Carpool Karaoke with James Corden, for Stand Up To Cancer.

Speaking about Noahs illness in a rare interview, he explained that, although his eldest son is perfect now, the whole ordeal was f***ing brutal.

Hes perfect. Clinically speaking, it was a tumour within the liver. And the most important thing was to get it out, with clean margins. Because if you do, it goes from being this scary thing to just being tremendous odds, he said.

No one likes talking about percentages but, honestly, [we have] a percentage where we can live our life, and not live in fear every day.

We know were OK now. But what we went through was fucking brutal.
