Will BTS make the Army happy and release new music?

BTS could be setting their super fan group, the Army, into another frenzy sooner than you may think.

According to Sports Donga, the group are set to release something new next month.

The k-pop boy band, who were recently officially certified as a million-seller in South Korea through their album Love Yourself: Tear, are not ending their chart-topping reign anytime soon.

The group are reported to be prepping to bless us all with a special release featuring 2-3 new songs that are expected to be a separate project from their the Love Yourself: Tear album.

BTS are known for putting out extended reissued albums, known as repackages in South Korea, but fans will be excited to know that this will reportedly be a stand-alone release.

And it doesnt end there!

The k-pop group are clearly the gift that keeps on giving because they are also set to film a music video to go with the release, and they are reported to top it all off with a first-time performance in South Korea at the start of their Love Yourself world tour on 25 and 26 August in Seoul.

Metro.co.uk have contacted reps for BTS for a comment.

The reports come after BTS are the first Korean artist to be certified as a million-seller by KCIA.

For albums released in Korea, the KCIA gives out Platinum certification for 250,000 in sales and Million for one million copies sold.

The Gaon chart lists Love Yourself: Tear as selling 1.66 million to date, breaking the charts record since singer Jo Sung Mo sold 1.7 million copies of his album released in 2000.

To date, Wanna Ones 0 + 1 = 1 (I PROMISE YOU) album, released on 10 May, has been certified triple platinum for selling 750,000 copies.

Other albums certified platinum, or selling 250,000 copies, are GOT7s Eyes on You, NCTs NCT 2018 Empathy, EXO-CBXs Blooming Days and TWICEs What is Love.

In streaming, iKONs Love Scenario has been certified Platinum for 100 million streams.

Nielsen Music earlier included BTS Love Yourself: Tear as one of the top 10 best-selling physical albums in the US for the first half of 2018, the only K-pop album in its whole mid-year Report.
