Hunter Owen easily manipulates Ian Beale tonight in EastEnders, after realising that that his new boss is head over heels for Mel.
Ian is hardly subtle in his efforts to win Mel back but she seems oblivious. Shes also quite happily dating Jack Branning.
But Ian spotted an opportunity when he overheard Mel urge her son Hunter to find a job. Ian foolishly offered Hunter a job at his restaurant in a bid to impress Mel. The restaurant is still closed, so its not even clear what Hunters job involves.
But Ian has other things on his mind. When the lazy teen shows up for his first day, Ian probes him about Mel and Jacks relationship. At first Hunter is disinterested but then he overhears Ian tell Masood that Ian will marry Mel within the year.

What can Hunter possibly do with that information?
Its going to be a long week for poor Ian as Hunter is set to mess up repeatedly. When Hunter calls in sick and Ian spots him out and about, Ian is furious. But Hunter makes him an offer that Ian cant refuse.
Fans will also enjoy a double dose of Owen manipulation, when Ian finally tires of Hunter and tells Mel that the arrangement is over. Can Mel save her sons summer job with a little bit of charm?
And will Ian ever see that his quest to win back Mels heart is hopeless?
