Urvashi Vani entered Bigg Boss 12 with Deepak Thakur.

Urvashi Vani was evicted from Bigg Boss 12 on Sunday night. The budding singer entered the show along with Deepak Thakur as a vichitra jodi. While Deepak continues to be strong in the game, Urvashis simplicity could not help her garner enough votes. After her elimination from the reality show, Urvashi sat down for an exclusive chat with indianexpress.com.

Talking about her exit from the show, the disappointed contestant said, “It was quite a roller coaster ride but definitely a great one. I did not really expect that I would go out so soon. Housemates kept calling me weak and that, I think, went against me. But I dont understand, just because I was not loud, doesnt mean I was weak. I always stood for the right, but it wasnt enough, clearly.”

While many in the house talk about the differences between celebs and commoners, she was loved by everyone. Mentioning that she was always treated as an equal, Urvashi said, “I dont think there is any difference. Once you enter a show like Bigg Boss, everyone becomes a celebrity. I think its all about mindset. And sadly, its only the commoners who feel the need to talk about this barrier. I was friends with everyone because we had mutual respect for each other.”

The nomination process this week had contestants saving each other. While Urvashi speaks about friendship, she did not get enough votes to get immunity. Also, during the eviction, maximum housemates voted against her. Urvashi confessed that she was really hurt by the same.

“According to me, I was doing quite well. But I couldnt change peoples perception about me not being entertaining. I worked on all my shortcomings. I hate dancing but tried it every day. I started dressing up and putting makeup only for the show. But for the world thats not good enough. Only shouting and fighting means entertainment for them,” she said.

Talking about her partner Deepak Thakur, Urvashi Vani shared that she no longer wants to be associated with him. Urvashi said, “As a jodi, we did not have the required coordination. While he knew about my silent nature, I was amazed to know about his reality. I cannot stand someone who doesnt respect people and relationship. Also, no one has the right to put me down, even for the game. I could not tolerate his nasty behaviour. When we couldnt bond inside the house, I dont think I will be friends with him outside now. I think Deepak is really stupid, for he gets manipulated easily.”

Also, Deepaks closeness to Somi Khan is said to have caused the dent in their friendship. Ask her if there was a love triangle happening between them and she laughed to say, “Not at all. There was nothing from my side. Somi genuinely felt uncomfortable by Deepaks action. And as a middle-class girl, I understand that such things can become an issue post the show. This is why I tried explaining the consequences of firing up a love angle in Bigg Boss to Somi.”

As the conversation steered towards host Salman Khan, the young girl from Bihar said, “He was really sweet to me. He scolds us when we go wrong and always pushes us to do better. I really loved interacting with him.”

Describing her journey with the song “Kabhi alvida na kehna”, Urvashi stated that she plans to move to Mumbai soon to start her career as a singer. “I also want to become a fashion designer. Thats my passion,” she concluded with a smile.

Apart from Urvashi, Megha Dhade, Karanvir Bohra, Dipika Kakar, Srishty Rode, Jasleen Matharu, Shivashish Mishra, Rohit Suchanti and Sreesanth were nominated for eviction this week.
